Stalking - Tulchan Lodge, Glen Isla, Scotland
Tulchan is the perfect estate for the stalking enthusiast. The topography is stunning, and the lodge is set in the secluded Glen Isla.
This estate is an excellent option for smaller groups who don’t want to take a whole week’s stalking or do not want the hassle of organising a large party to share a lodge.
Tulchan Lodge is set in the centre of a 20,000 acre estate which marches with Glen Shee and Balmoral. The terrain here is absolutely stunning, and you will have a classic highland stalking experience. Guests stalking at Glen Isla will need a reasonable level of fitness as some of the ground can be challenging.
Tulchan has three stalking beats each run by a professional stalker, the head stalker being Liam Donald, who looks after guests very well. Dependant on the counts there is also the opportunity to shoot walked up grouse over pointers here.
For larger parties Tulchan Lodge is a traditional Scottish sporting lodge which is fairly basic but clean and comfortable, for smaller groups you can stay in “The Swiss Cottage” which is an annexe to the main lodge and retains the traditional feel. Both are on a full board basis.
